Das erste Golfturnier wurde mit einem sowohl brillanten, als auch äusserst amüsanten Abend in einem Traumdekor eröffnet. Die hervorragende Jazzkapelle begleitete kulinarisches Vergnügen wie auch litterarische Höhepunkte. Selbst Seine Hoheit Prinz Albert von Monaco schien diese Stunden bis spät in die Nacht vollauf zu geniessen, und erlag, wie wir alle, dem Charme unserer Gastgeber.

Henry und ich sind gestern, am 3. Mai, nach Hamburg zurückgekehrt und ich nutze die Gelegenheit einer kurzen Ruhephase heute morgen, um Dir, lieber Präsident, sehr herzlich für diesen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in Bandol, im Dolce Frégate Golf-Hotel und Club, zu danken. Du hast alles für uns mit so großer Umsicht und Mühe vorbereitet, dass uns nur noch der Genuss blieb!
Jeder Tag bot etwas Besonderes und war ein Erlebnis für sich, das ganz besonders ich immer in meiner Erinnerung und meinem Herzen bewahren werde.

Un grand merci à tous ceux qui ont contribué à la réussite de cette magnifique et chaleureuse manifestation. Bravo pour cet énorme travail de préparation, invisible mais si indispensable ! Merci aussi à nos hôtes qui nous fait découvrir des endroits de charme dans le Var. Cela donne vraiment envie de recommencer au plus vite… Pourquoi pas lors d’un relais 4*400 en sous-marin nucléaire comme évoqué dimanche ?

Pour ma première participation à une sortie ASCoT comme invité, ce fut une vrai réussite. Je ne peux que remercier très chaleureusement nos hôtes Siciliens qui nous ont magnifiquement reçus dans leur palais.
Pour un escrimeur de l'ACF quel plaisir que de faire plusieurs heures d'escrimes dans la salle de bal du Palais Beneventano.

Nous avons passé un Week-end de prince et princesse (bon avec un peu d'imagination...). L'hôtel est hors du temps et permet de tout oublier.
Pense à ceux qui ne jouent pas au tennis et prévoit des séances d'échanges avec les italiens.............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Merci et bravo pour cette super organisation !

Un énorme merci pour tout. C'était un moment de qualité et de plaisir intense.
L'année prochaine, on va se préparer autrement plus sérieusement niveau tennistique. Notre sortie du vendredi soir n'a pas aidé.
Je ne réalisais pas à quel point 5 matchs en une journée était intense, et je croyais que les sorties la veille des matchs comme au Waldviertler Tennis Turnier en Autriche étaient possibles... Je me suis trompé, en tout cas j'ai fait un mauvais calcul ! On passera du mode d'agneaux au mode diables rouges !
Je me demandais si ASCoT serait intéressé d'avoir une équipe 100% belge l'année prochaine ou préfèrerait garder une équipe BELUX. Parce que j'ai trouvé d'autres candidats...
Donc, aucune hésitation à me tenir au courant pour l'event golf ! Je reviens des championnats d'Europe universitaire de golf à l'instant et j'attaque les postulations d'emploi ! Mais globalement, j'ai du temps pour l'instant et je peux donner un coup de main pour le golf, feel free to ask! Je me ferais une joie d'aider.

Tu peux être très fier de cette belle réussite... C'est un moment d'exception qui restera graver dans notre mémoire.
Quelle magnifique ambiance !!! Des personnes de qualité, une organisation sans faille (même les quelques gouttes n'ont pas été très gênantes).
Un accueil au sein du Club très chaleureux avec Francis Truchi et Eric Seigle, sans oublier Olivier Devant (et son épouse Marie) un juge-arbitre hors pair, une équipe suédoise avec autant de talent qu'elle était bien accompagnée...
Bravo pour le magazine qui résume bien l'ambiance et les événements.
Si vous passez par Paris, n'hésitez pas de passer sur ma péniche et pourquoi pas jouer au Lagardère Paris Racing !

Monaco 2011 restera un événement inoubliable tant par l'organisation du tournoi que par le professionnalisme des joueurs, l'ambiance internationale et la qualité des réceptions au Yatch Club et au Country Club. Les buffets et le diner étaient délicieux. Le fait d'être à Monaco est aussi un atout pour cet événement.

J’étais enchanté de participer à un si bel événement dans ce cadre unique. Quel accueil ! Quelle parfaite organisation ! Tous deux irréprochables à tous les niveaux – même lorsque l’on piétine les excellentes terre battues sous la pluie, cassons nos raquettes, anéantissons les balles ou détruisons le filet, tout est fait pour que le jeu continue. Nous sommes traités comme des champions dans la meilleure des ambiances possibles – j’ai même vu des français applaudir les anglais lors de la remise des prix et il m’a semblé entendre les autrichiens en faire de même lorsque les allemands sont montés sur le podium – mais je n’en suis pas tout à fait sûr !
I am grateful to the organisers for the optimal conditions of tennis and enjoyment, even if that has not impacted the level of my game ;-(. Being French and Barbarian, I simply cannot omit to mention excellent food and obviously thank Moet & Chandon so much for their great contribution – déformation professionnelle oblige…
Comme il me paraît difficile d’améliorer encore un événement qui possède déjà tant d’atouts et offre tant de satisfactions, il me reste à souhaiter que cette expérience soit duplicable en d’autres périodes de l’année et en d’autres lieux magiques afin d’attirer d’aussi sympathiques et compétitifs participants !
Merci à tous ceux qui ont contribué à rendre ce week-end délicieux et qui souhaiteraient me contacter pour être des sparring-partners en vue de la prochaine édition !

I wanted to thank you both for another enormously successful event. Team UK managed to get the balance wrong (again!), and spent more time in Jimmy'z than on the tennis courts. Nevertheless, we enjoyed ourselves hugely, compounded early friendships and on year, one year my friends, our time will come to raise that cup! 
I thought the ASCoT spirit was powerful as ever, and I look forward to hearing of the next planned event.

pour l'élégance sportive la convivialité que chacun a déployé a l'égard de l'autre!
"Tous pour un ,un pour tous !" a pris tout son sens durant ces trois jours à Monaco.
Depuis le début de nos rencontres notre amitié a grandie sous la houlette ô combien indispensable de notre chef d'orchestre !
Je suis rentrée certes épuisée par l’énergie dépensée mais avec plein de souvenirs d'échanges amicaux qui donne un plus a notre chemin de vie !
A tous merci encore que nos prochaines rencontres soit a la hauteur de celle qui vient de s'achever!

Ce weekend à Paris a été l'occasion de découvrir des lieux auxquels nous n'avons pas forcément accès en vivant à Paris.
Un dîner élégant au Cercle de l'Union Interalliée, une visite privée à l'Assemblée Nationale,la découverte de la salle d'armes la plus ancienne et l'Automobile Club place de la Concorde ou nous avons fait la connaissance de plusieurs membres du Club.
Un programme varié et original qui s'est terminé par un brunch sur une péniche décorée par la maîtresse de maison, décoratrice de métier. Un grand merci d'avoir reçu tout le monde sur votre pont.

We went from highlight to highlight: the privilege of fencing in the Salle d'armes Cordurier; dinner in the magnificent surroundings of the Club Interallié; a private visit to the Assemblée Nationale of the French Republic; a dramatic fencing match against worthy opponents, followed by conviviality in their august dining room; and, last but not least, brunch al fresco on a houseboat on the Seine. The melange of culture, conviviality and sport comprises the magic of ASCoT.

Je tiens vraiment à vous dire combien j'ai aimé la gentillesse avec laquelle vous avez donné a Nicolas un peu d'attention ces petits gestes sont beaucoup pour lui vos regards bienveillants, l'aide à trouver sa place parmi nous malgré son autisme(syndrome d'asperger). Il a d'ailleurs décidé de se lancer dans ce nouveau sport l'escrime !
Merci a notre guide qui nous a fait découvrir une autre facette de Rome dans une ambiance gaie et cultivée !
Après Monaco cette excursion dans Rome fut une grande réussite !

Intense et magique, ce week-end démontre que les valeurs promus par l'ASCoT et notamment ses animateurs et organisateurs ont leur place pour prolonger la construction de notre Europe.
Ces visites majestueuses commentées par notre guide Vannella experte en art et sur l'histoire de Rome nous ont épuisées de bonheur.
Cette victoire dans ce temple romain, pour moi, aussi formidable soit-elle, m'a permis de vivre des moments forts et des accolades belles et sincères de respect et d'amitié inaliénables.

Die Atmosphäre, die Gastfreundschaft waren einmalig. Dank den Organisatoren, die das ermöglicht haben, haben wir in einer kurzen Zeit, ganz viel von Italienischer Kunst gesehen und gelernt. Ich gratuliere auch unseren Fechtern für ihren Sieg.

Je remercie infiniment le comité d'organisation de Rome 2010 car, grâce au sport, il contribue à consolider la fraternité et l’amitié entre les peuples d’Europe.
En effet ensemble, nous participons ainsi non seulement à la construction de la « maison Europe », mais aussi à la restauration de ses valeurs en lui donnant une âme et une chaleur humaine.
Je remercie tout particulièrement le Maestro Renzo Musumeci Greco qui nous a reçus avec panache dans son temple qui encore aujourd'hui honore les valeurs chevaleresques de l’escrime.

Vielen Dank für dieses wunderbar Wochenende mit vielen sympatischen Leuten.
Es war mein erstes Mal mit ASCoT, and, by the end of the week-end, I had the feeling I knew everybody since years. This is the charm of the ASCoT Club.
If I had some regrets not to visit the Palazzo Barberini, the decision I took to stay all the afternoon at the Sala d'Armi Musumeci Greco proved to be a moment of real happiness.
Even if the time when I used to fence is by now a little far in the past, I feel I am still able to appreciate the fencers' excellent footwork and the hours spent in the oldest fencing school of Italy let me think I should consider to begin again to manegiarre la spada e practicare la scherma...
Bravo aux organisateurs !
The memory of these days in Roma will not fade away and I am already looking forward to the next event.

Dear ASCoT Friends,
It is hard to find my feet again after this superb weekend of Roman culture, wonderful sport against another club of great prowess and sportsmanship and the entire two and a half days in the company of such charming and cultured fellow members. My initial apprehension about being a 'new boy' on my first A.S.Co.T outing was rapidly shown to be superfluous: I found myself surround by charming and considerate fellow members incarnating the spirit of all for one and one for all.

Within a very short time indeed it seemed that I had always been a member of this very special club. It goes without saying that much work behind the scenes was necessary to ensure the succcess of the weekend and, indeed, for the weekend to occur at all.

For all that, and the friendship offered, my most sincere thanks to you, Lionel and all others involved in the preparatory work, the participants in the programme, and of course, our fellow sportsmen and their friends in Rome, whose presence was an essential part of this wonderful weekend.

I look forward to the next event with great anticipation and contributing to the life of A.S.Co.T.

Another important step forward for ASCoT, a fantastic success, the introduction of a new Fencing event in Roma against the seculary SALLA D'ARMI AURELIO GRECO founded in 1876, that ASCoT had the gust and the merit to win.
A super extraordinary Week-end.
Bravo all the gladiators!
A subtil mix of an incredible fencing tournament in this beautiful millenum site, with an orgy of mind-blowing Roman civilisation, culture, art and painting, excellent winning and eating in those most incredible palazzi, great company of remarkable people, a real feature of the ASCoT legacy!

Nothing would be achieved, (...), without your sheer determination, hard work and very unique and distinct ‘prouesse’ to reach the local aristocracy in each European country and to mix it with great people from all over to make this ‘Gentleman’s institution’ totally unique.

What an achievement it would be if you can also succeed to add the planned ski and golf event to the now traditional Monaco tennis tournament and already planned other fencing events in addition to the dozen of great activities in each individual country.

Keep the energy going, (...), we are all behind you to carry it forward and to follow on with new sailing, hunting and polo events.

couldn`t agree more with my "prewriters". It was just perfect and if it works again in 2011, I will come with my full family-team (Cécile + kids),to be unbeatable.
If we play in an other town/country like Vienna/NY/Bahamas/Düsseldorf/London/Tokyo/Paris... make sure that Charles/Obama/Sarcozy/Angela...participate at the great A.S.Co.T. event.

Thank you very much for a superb week-end. We very much appreciated the people, tennis, food and not least the great atmosphere and ambiance that you have created.
We would of course be very interested in participating next year and Mr Milles together with us would be very glad to form a swedish team if you still think it's a good idea to add another team to the tournament. We could easily find a very senior gentlemen who could join me for the third group ie group C (having in mind what you said about really finding somebody who is not too good in tennis, but still a gentlement who would fit with the rest of the players).
We are all members of Kungliga Tennis Hallen in Stockholm (Royal tennis club), so please give us a call if you want to come to Stockholm to play some tennis and have a dinner afterwords and we will arrange something of course.
